Teaching Dogs, Empowering Owners

About Us

Hi, I'm Connie DeBusschere, head trainer and owner of Canine Training Adventures. Like many of you, I grew up with dogs and loved doing things with them. Through the years I've been blessed with some incredible dogs and together we have shared some amazing experiences. From competing in many dog sports, doing therapy work, to raising litters. Now I enjoy helping people with their dogs, improving behavior with clear communication, better understanding and showing them how easy it is to get results with reward based training methods.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Canine Training Adventures offers a wide variety of classes (for every age of dogs) at a peaceful, beautiful location. I began with a Parkour class, then tricks class and then learning to search for antlers and rats. Now I help Connie run "Odor on the Farm", an event where teams practice their scent/odor skills in a variety of fun farm searches. Nothing like a happy tired dog, and handler, at the end of a class @ Canine Training Adventures.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have had the pleasure of attending several workshops and trials at Canine Training Adventures. I truly wish I lived closer (it is a bit too far from Portland for weekly trips). The facility and location are are outstanding and Connie is an amazing trainer and resource for dog behavior and training!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Connie DeBusschere of Canine Training Adventures is a wonderful instructor! We have used her services for about two and a half years now after being referred to her by a local dog group. With our then-new puppy, Rocky, we started in Puppy Manners, and plan to continue on with Connie into Canine Good Citizen and further. Her positive reinforcement techniques and extensive knowledge is wonderful, and her low-key approach has everyone feeling comfortable; two legged and four legged students alike. Connie has put together a beautiful facility, enabling her to employ numerous training techniques and styles, and to offer quite a variety of classes. We would not hesitate to recommend Connie for any dog instruction needs.
